Getting the right new University tech
Thinking about making a major purchase of software or technology, especially those expected to integrate with other systems on campus? Remember to check with OneIT at the beginning, not the end of the process by Submitting a Project Idea.
Getting the right technology and making sure it works with existing systems requires thoughtful planning often accomplished by following the IT Projects process. As the scope and impact of purchases vary, this review may occur when an RFP is being considered for technology purchases.
For transformative IT Projects, the process turns to a cross-section of the campus community to provide feedback. More than 60 students, faculty, and staff from over 33 University units represent the Technology Portfolio Committees.
