IT Portfolio Manager

In one sentence – what does your job entail?

The portfolio manager role entails working with PPMO leadership to update and refine our project management processes, and with OneIT leaders to schedule projects based on priorities of operational and project work for stakeholders across the University.

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?

Be open to new things.

What inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

I was working for a consulting firm and enjoyed the systems-related projects the most. I got my Masters degree in Information Systems and have been working on implementations ever since.

What is something that might surprise us about you?

As an adult, I have never subscribed to regular cable TV.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?

Personal: With my husband and raising our 3 kids.

What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?

Going for walks or runs.

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?

Reading.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Be more patient with myself and others.
