OneIT Working Groups Update – March 4, 2020
Subject matter experts from across the University and committee chairs continue to convene as working groups work to compile OneIT recommendations for the Chancellor and CIO by April 1.
Current updates provided by working group chairs:
Customer Service Update
The Customer Service working group has referred to the Service Catalog to start determining Enterprise and Unit-Specific responsibilities. The group reports that the data-driven starting point has helped develop a shared understanding of the current IT environment.
Communications Update
This month, the Communications working group is busy auditing OneIT-related website, print, and social media content to recommend future needs per audience. The group also manages change communications and has developed an anonymous survey to promote honest feedback.
Human Resources Update
The HR working group continues to develop a timeline of items to be delivered by July 1 and during year one of OneIT. Their focus includes EHRA position designation, FSLA review, and the internal hire recruitment process.
Financial Update
The Financial working group has been evaluating how to create the OneIT organization systematically, including the technical infrastructure. The group estimates that they had mapped out 80% of the process to shift to OneIT.
